- Throughout the healing process you should apply lotion 2 to 3 times daily. Around day 3-4 is when you want to start applying lotion Jergens or Vaseline Intensive Care or AD ointment to your tattoo. Let the area air dry completely then apply a thin amount of lotion that is provided in the aftercare packet.
Pat your skin dry with a clean paper towel do not rub it.
Wash it every 4-5 hours but put no lotion or ointment on it for 2-3 weeks. Please WASH your tattoo. With clean hands gently wash tattoo with mild soap and water. Repeat this process 3 to 5 times a day.
